Do not exercise close to bedtime, it would have the opposite effect! Stick to a bed time routine. Go to bed the same time every night and wake up at the same time. Try Waking up without an alarm clock. Avoid napping during the day. Not lie in bed when you are wide awake. Lying in bed waiting to fall asleep for a long time is not advisable. It is better to climb into bed and pursue some other activity, instead of fighting against sleep.
